CURRICULUM VITAE

The Freddocane project came into being on a cold and unspecified day back in March 2009 with the intention of developing its own sounds, which have strong stoner-rock origins with frequent raids into other genres. More than a crossover, here we are dealing with the true search for a sound in which all the influences of the three musicians participate, even those that are quite different from each other: Ivano Colombi (guitars, synthesizers and various noises), Beppe Fratus (vocals and bass) and Stefano Guidi (drums). In December 2009, the band created the six-track EP of the same name. Once more in December but in 2010, the band shut itself up in the GB Records studio and this time recorded the album of the same name. The result is a precise hour of Freddocane: rock, grunge, psychedelia, stoner, blues and funky, post-rock and avant-garde, dodecaphony, atonal and aleatoric music, a heterogeneous yet compact mix. The album was released on 31 January 2012. In August 2012, due to an overcommitment to Caponord which signed with Warner, Stefano Guidi was forced to leave the project and was replaced by Alessandro Belotti for the remainder of the promotional tour. The new lineup immediately began doing what it does best, recording jam sessions and developing new material from these. In early 2013 the band secluded itself in a studio to record a dozen new songs for the new album, which was released in December 2014. In 2019 the third Freddocane work also came into being. The band is currently at work on a fourth album.
