Andrea Iuracà
A singer-songwriter from Livorno, 29 years of age. Musician and country rock / pop singer-songwriter with an unbridled passion for Bruce Springsteen. Raised on international and Italian independent music, in recent years he began performing in public proposing, in addition to covers of the Boss, his own songs as well.
In a few months his first album Di sognare non smettere mai will be released, which will contain among others a song in English dedicated to Springsteen.
Joe Iadanza
A musician and international singer-songwriter, born to Italian immigrants and union activists, Joe Iadanza understands the passionate struggle of the American dream. With a voice reminiscent of Cat Stevens and Harry Chapin, and songs that hearken to the passionate storytelling of Springsteen and Leonard Cohen, this Long Island native's music is rooted in classic folk: honest and raw.
Their friendship came into being by chance, during the first lockdown thanks to social media and facebook in particular.
Iadanza used the latter to broadcast his project dedicated to the Boss "40 Days of Bruce", where for 40 days he daily posted pieces by Springsteen he reinterpreted, which caught the attention of Iuracà, always fanatical about the Boss.
As a result, wisecracks, compliments, and praise were swapped back and forth until there was talk of a collaboration dedicated to the Boss which led to the realization of the song "My City of Ruins" presented in the "COVER ME" contest.
For a little more than a year the two have been in contact almost on a daily basis and they plan to perform together live in Italy as well as in America as soon as the period of restriction is over.
Could the "COVER ME" contest be the first event?...
