CURRICULUM VITAE
My passion for Bruce Springsteen started when I was still a little girl thanks to my dad, who saw the light on that legendary June 21, 1985, the first of many concerts which since 2008 we would then see together.
I began studying classical piano at the age of 8 and the book of sheet music he had bought even before I was born waited patiently, while Bach, Clementi and Mozart alternated alongside, until I was good enough (or bold enough) to place it on the music stand. Meanwhile I attempted to sing “Thunder Road”, “Bobby Jean” and many other songs while Dad played guitar.
Growing up I also began taking singing lessons, playing ukulele and reinterpreting any song in my own way.
I moved closer to jazz and ragtime, and for some reason, this made me wonder what “Sherry Darling” would have been like if Bruce had had the same impossible mother-in-law a few decades earlier... And this is the result.
