CURRICULUM VITAE

Covering all the eras of The Boss’s work, from his vast back catalogue with The E Street Band, his solo albums to his collaborations with The Seeger Sessions Band & Southside Johnny. We add our own style & top musicianship to bring you a high energy, sweat soaked, sing along set to please Springsteen and fun loving music fans alike.

Graeme Richardson (Rico). The Frontman.

Fronting the NE Street Band and the one bringing these like minded people together, is Rico! As an 80s hard rock music lover, Rico didn’t get into Bruce until his twenties but has become hooked ever since & now feels the time is right to emulate one of his heroes. Apart from The Boss, varied influences range from Guns n Roses, KISS & Bon Jovi to The Clash, Gaslight Anthem & Frank Turner!

Ian Douglas. The Saxophonist.

Ian is our saxophonist, percussionist and harmonica player, who was heavily influenced by R&B, Blues, and Soul Music. He recently developed an appreciation of Latin American music following a short stint working in Brazil and has always appreciated a wide range in musical styles. For Ian, rock was always there in the background but there was never the big attraction for a saxophonist. That changed in the 80’s when he first heard Clarence Clemons and his huge sound, which blended perfectly with the E Street Band.

Tom Willshare. The Guitarist.

Tom picked up the guitar as a kid, inspired by his dad's collection of Free and Led Zeppelin records. Being left-handed, he first tried playing a right-handed guitar upside down, to be more like Jimi Hendrix, but soon found it was far easier to play the right way up, so has played 'backwards' ever since. The initial appeal of Springsteen was the incredible live shows with the E street band, all held together by Bruce's battered old guitar. His favourite bit of playing a Springsteen set is the chance to jump between playing soul, rock n roll, country and just about every other genre.

Martin Scott. The Bass Guitarist.

Martin has been playing for over 30 years, first in original bands releasing various EPs, switching to covering mixed indie mod rock in Heavy Soul then onto The Cruyff Turn playing 90s indie tribute. Martin has been massive fan of Bruce Springsteen since his teens and has too many favourite bands to mention - but Springsteen and the E Street band have always been a constant.

Mike Henderson. The Keyboard Player.

Formally trained from a very young age, Mike has over 50 years of experience playing keyboards. Music is in his blood, tracing back through his dad and his grandfather who both played as drummers in dance bands. He enjoys a wide range of music styles and has played in numerous bands over the years, ranging from Rock to Country & Western and everything in between.

Neil McKie. The Drummer.

Neil is also a key member of one of the North East’s top soul bands, Soul Street, but the opportunity could not be missed to play the songs of a true legend: Mr. Bruce Springsteen. Neil has had some great times in many different bands, with amazing people such as Derek Simpson (now of Miserable Les fame) and Franky Nickelson. It’s Bruce Springsteen’s storytelling that Neil likes, for example Spirits in the Night and Thunder Road.
