CURRICULUM VITAE
Born in Como on 27/06/1999, guitarist and singer of the band Five Quarters, Tommaso is a philosophy graduate from Statale di Milano and studies at Bologna’s CITEM.
Five Quarters started life in 2014 as a blues band, performing in bars across Lombardy and the north of Italy. In 2018 they won Italian competition Obiettivo BluesIn and performed on the main stage at Pistoia Blues Festival. The energy of their live performances and characteristic sound has enabled them to generate an increasingly wonderful relationship with larger and larger audiences, built on over 100 dates in three years. The band won first prize at the 2018 and 2019 editions of local competition Atomica. The music of the Five Quarters was used for the soundtrack of the RAI TV series Ognuno è perfetto which aired in December 2019. The band took part in the 2019 edition of Xfactor, getting as far as the Pala Alpitour in Turin live auditions and winning three positive opinions out of four. On 30 April 2021 their first album Storie Nuove came out under the Bagana - B District label. This new album was the first to feature vocals from Tommaso Imperiali, already the band’s frontman and guitarist and saw a shift to Italian for the band’s songs. The single Tutto in una foto was the theme tune of AIM Festival, held at Castello Sforzesco in Milano which the band performed at as headliner. In summer 2021 the band opened WOW Festival for Selton and Margherita Vicario. Tommaso performed as a soloist in the 2020 and 2021 editions of the Italian competition Cover Me devoted to Bruce Springsteen songs, coming in third on both occasions.
