CURRICULUM VITAE
I’m Tommaso Mauri (Tommy), aged 22, and I’ve been studying music since I was eight. I owe starting to play to my father who always got me listening to excellent music, since I was tiny, above all Bruce’s. This is what triggered my huge curiosity, especially in relation to the sound of Clarence's sax. This is why, in 2008, I started saxophone lessons at my town’s music school. Later on, at middle and high school, I started performing live with various formations and occasions, such as town festivals, private and public events in bars and restaurants, theater events, music festivals and so on. Over the years I’ve also tried my hand at other instruments, by which I mean guitar and piano, and developed my singing so that I can be as versatile as possible. I’ve been attending Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano since 2019, where I’m still studying saxophone with Mario Marzi and technical aspects of music. Since 2020 I’ve been working on Italian songwriting and trying to bring together all the main influences I’ve acquired over the years. I’m now part of an acoustic trio, APA (Acoustic Pale Ale), with whom I play various instruments around Lombardy, mainly acoustic cover versions.
