Lazyboys. Already together in the experience linked to the folk band Double Dose, and with the forced confinement of the Covid 19 period as accomplice, this experiment came into being and over time has become a concrete project. Aldo Gallizzi and Claudio Spanu followed up on what they had started together with violinist Andrea Scanu during lockdown, building up a repertoire which, at first was connected to American and Irish folk music. Since the new course embarked on at the end of 2022, the group has taken a more precise direction, crossing over and following paths more distinctly connected to Americana, a definition that identifies that musical genre as similar to alternative country, but more closely bound to tradition, with its major influences on loan from roots rock and country. At a later stage, double bass player Danilo Mura (already in the Double Dose lineup, too) also joined the duo, with whom the project is developing and consolidating, with the band also starting work on original pieces of their own composition.
