CURRICULUM VITAE
SVYTOLS. The band formed in 2001 in Crema and over time created and developed its own sound, a balance of rock, punk, ska, reggae, funk and afro. The Svytols have always played live in different settings, in small clubs and on big stages, but always with the intention of enjoying themselves and entertaining others.
The band was finalist at Arezzo Wave, as well as at Emergenza Rock, has played at the MiTo Festival in Milan, appeared as a guest on the Sanremo stage (after participating in Sanremo59 “youth” with the song “Il Piede”) and is broadcast (still) by local national radio stations and web radios.
In 2019 the Svytols participated in Sanremo Rock and were finalists for the Lombardy Region at the Ariston Theatre in Sanremo.
Over the years, the band has released 3 albums: Svytols, 2009, the very first work containing the single “Il piede”, which led the Svytols to participate in Sanremo Web 59 and then be invited to the Festival stage on the last 2 evenings.
Quattroeventitre, 2017, the red album with slightly warmer tones, rock music with strong ska/reggae influences.
E-Volution, 2020, the album was released during the first lockdown, 3/4s of it recorded and mixed at home; the album represents a shift towards a more direct and edgy rock, but never forgetting the upbeat rhythm.
The difficult period that the entire planet underwent due to the pandemic also had repercussions in the artistic field, and the band released the single “Mascherine” followed by the EP Oxygeno in January 2021. Currently, the band has just finished recording its fourth album, the first single of which “Benvenuti a Woodstock” was released on 28 April 2023. In May 2023, a new member or rather fifth element, Francesco Nicolosi, on keyboards, joined the band.
