CURRICULUM VITAE
Pol en Tino we are a duo from Valle d’Aosta and joined forces in 2004 on the basis of a shared passion for Simon & Garfunkel.
Soon afterwards we enhanced our setlist with covers by other great foreign artists (Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Damien Rice, the Beatles...), Italian artists (Ligabue, Bennato, De André, Vecchioni...) and by proposing our own songs.
In 2008, our participation at Mogol’s CET gave a great boost to writing our own songs.
Our songs are collected in two CDs: Prima che sia notte (2006) and Da Grandi (2013), both of which can be downloaded on all the main online platforms. In 2019, we recorded a concept album about the mythological character of Greundzo. In this latest entertaining CD, we had the honour of collaborating with talented and experienced artists from Valle d'Aosta.
In 2023, the EP “COVID” was released whose theme was the pandemic. Tracks on the EP are “La Canzone Del Tampone” and “Gli Sballati Della Quarantena”, which are accompanied by fun videos on Youtube. Also in 2023, with the band Mirino & The Maggie’s Farm, the CD of Italian covers of Bob Dylan “La nostra versione personale di te” was completed. Two videos can be found on YouTube “Come una Pietra Rotolata” (Like a Rolling Stone) and “Maestri di Guerra” (Masters of War). This is the fourth consecutive year we have had the great pleasure of participating in the Cover Me contest dedicated to the Boss. Last year we got through to the finals with an excellent sixth place.
Miriam Irene Tinazzo began studying piano at the Quincinetto art high school, where she played mainly jazz and improvisation for the most part.
She continued her studies at Istituto Musicale Pareggiato in Valle d'Aosta, under the guidance of teacher Antonietta Assini. Since 2022 she has been studying with Maestro Marian Mika at the A. Pozzi Academy in Corsico. Marco Brunet: A multi-instrumentalist born in 1962, Marco has founded or been a member of many music groups, including Atelier Nouveau - I Caimani - Domestic Poison - Kina - Ombra - The Project - Maura Susanna - OrchestrAniké - Tamtando.
He has worked with numerous internationally famous artists, such as Ray Lema, Riccardo Tesi, Gilson Silveira, Luis Agudo, Alberto Mandarini, Bil Aka Kora, and Tony Hadley. He is a guitar teacher at the Aosta Academy of Modern Music and
has also taught at the SFOM (School of Musical Training and Orientation) in Aosta in the past. Davide Torrione: I am a musician by passion and have played with local Valle d'Aosta bands since I was a boy (Tristan Tzara, Sphere and Minimo Vitale being the most important, with whom I've had quite a few good experiences both in the valley and further afield).
It is an interesting and curious fact that my first major concert ever was actually the Boss in Milan (San Siro) in 1985. It was a bombshell of a concert that fueled the passion for music and enormous desire to play that has never left me!!!!! Ilaria Malesan: I am 25 years old and started taking drum lessons at the age of 12 at the Arte in Testa association based in Aosta, which organized annual events during which its various students played the pieces they had learned through the year. A few years later my teacher Simone Pellicanò introduced me to Giorgio Broglio, who has been my acoustic guitar teacher for 9 years now and with whom I started playing in the Blues Power trio, together with Giorgio's bass playing wife. We then started hanging out together to learn a variety of blues rock songs. In addition to the various events organized by the association, together with Giorgio and his wife Lara, over the years I have also taken part in several full-blown concerts, the last of which was in Switzerland. I'm no longer a member of the Arte in Testa association and now belong to VdA Formazione founded by Giorgio with Simone as a fellow member.
