CURRICULUM VITAE
The Space Country is a project by Laura Matarazzo, Luca Sassi and Giuseppe Magnelli.
Three, seemingly distant, individual musical paths - ranging from pop to musical, via folk in Laura's case, from classical conservatory studies to a passion for alternative country for Luca, from indie-rock to auteur music for Giuseppe - intersect and merge into a wholly personal, decidedly contemporary sound whose roots are firmly rooted in tradition, including folk, Italian and international.
The trio's music is the product of a series of resolved tensions.. Indeed, the trio's underlying nostalgia is lit up by evocative glimpses of hope, and crystalline and ethereal acoustic music is shot through with electric contaminations and synthetic rhythms.
Laura, Luca and Giuseppe are currently working on their first album of new songs, The Space Country, which is coming out very soon.
